Nitrate free sausages, bacon and deli-meat is actually impossible. They are allowed to call in nitrate/nitrite free when the company uses natural nitrates. The organic industry isn't regulated enough, which allows them to get away with confusing consumers into thinking they are eating something healthy. If you don't by fresh meat from the butcher and make it yourself, it has nitrates.

The FDA has clearly mismanaged the whole situation (what a surprise) by disregarding completely the well-being of those who rely on the medication. It would be acceptable for the FDA to take Primatene Mist off the shelves, as long as they were certain that those who rely on it, have a substitute product in comparison to price, components, accessibility and availability.

It is unethical in the extreme to subject humans to unnecessary ionizing radiation. If it's legal to search the vehicles, then open the vehicles and search them. The same goes for the airport - if the TSA wants to see what's under passengers' clothes, then they should just make passengers strip down instead of shooting cancer-causing radiation at them. What's with this rage for aiming death rays at us? Just do the search the old-fashioned way. (Um, like, get a warrant.)

I have been taking Ritalin for about a year now. It has literally saved my life because I take it as an adjunct to my antidepresents. I'm taking the max for my antidepresents but I still suffer from depression without the ritalyn. When my doctor prscribed ritalin, I didn't think it would help but it helped me to finally get out of bed and do normal things. I was insure if I would ever be able to do that.
When I changed insurance companies, they would not pay for the ritalin but that's another story.
I can really feel for you,AliMcJ because "...being dumped back into the abyss of inertia and dullness..." describes how I feel without the ritalyn exactly. ( very well said !).
Class action ? You bet. I'm in.
Btw, I have the narcolepsy also with heavy eyelids,etc. I thought it was due to thehaving sleep apnea and didn't get enough sleep!
I know I must sound like a hypochondriac but I definitely am not. I never even took aspirin until I had artificial valves put in my heart which may have caused my afib (chronic) but saved my life. Then my daughter died and I started falling into that well and couldn't get out. Okay, I'm boring myself now.
